Some portfolios blend in, others you never forget. For Karim Souissi, we imagined a raw, upfront site: full-screen red, pixel type and nothing else.
The imagined brief
Karim Souissi is a designer and creative developer based in La Marsa, working across UI/UX, front-end and back-end. He's looking for collaborations with studios and brands that like hybrid profiles. The site had to show both graphic sensitivity and coding culture, with a personality impossible to mistake.
The idea
The whole site is red. In the centre, a single project image, with the name and role overlaid in pixel type. At the bottom, three columns sum up the career: current role, previous experience, location. It's a CV turned into a poster.
Art direction
A bright, almost saturated red, a dark red for secondary text, and no other colour. PP NeueBit, a bitmap typeface, recalls screens and code; PP Mondwest, between pixel and serif, adds a more editorial touch. The contrast between the digital world and a poster layout gives the site its character.
Motion
The central image changes as you hover over projects, text appears like a terminal, and the cursor interacts with the composition. The site stays light: a few pages, few images, near-instant loading.
The journey
Home, Case Studies for detailed projects, About for the background and skills, and direct links to LinkedIn and contact. The navigation fits on one line, top right, leaving all the room to the red.
What this concept brings to a real brand
For a creative or technical profile, this concept shows that one radical choice — a colour, a typeface — can become a complete identity. A portfolio that dares gets noticed, and gets shared more easily.
Concept: the brand and its brief were imagined by KOYOTEC to explore a creative direction. This is not a client project.
