Some people only need one page to convince. For Inès Morel, we imagined a one-page portfolio where every element is in its place and nothing is superfluous.
The imagined brief
Inès Morel is an art director and visual designer with several years of studio experience and clients in food, music, sport and hospitality. She wants a site that reflects her: precise, editorial, no frills. Recruiters and clients must grasp her level at a glance.
The idea
Everything fits on one page, built like a magazine layout. A very wide title — "Visual Dev" — opens the page, then a strict grid organises the introduction, clients, career and awards into columns. The rigour of the grid becomes the signature.
Art direction
White background, black text, grey for secondary information and a single colour, a warm yellow, kept for accents. Romie, an expressive serif, sets the large title; PP Neue Montreal carries everything else at small size, like the columns of a design journal.
Motion
Text blocks fade in in reading order, the title assembles letter by letter and a few project images reveal on hover. Animations are rare, which gives them more weight.
The journey
No complex menu: the page reads top to bottom, from introduction to clients, then experience and awards. Social links and email sit at the top for immediate contact.
What this concept brings to a real brand
For a freelancer, consultant or craftsperson, this concept shows that a well-composed one-page site can be enough, and that it's quick to build and update. What matters is choosing what to show, and showing it with care.
Concept: the brand and its brief were imagined by KOYOTEC to explore a creative direction. This is not a client project.
