An architect thinks in sequences: approach, entrance, discovery. For Leïla Gharbi, we imagined a site that follows that logic, with a cinematic way in.

The imagined brief

Leïla Gharbi is an architect leading varied projects, from housing to cultural spaces. She wants a site showing her whole body of work, year after year, that stands apart from usual architecture portfolios, which are often very static. The site had to be sober yet memorable.

The idea

The site starts on an almost empty screen, a simple "introduction", then a strip of images unfolds along the bottom. Each project has a short name and a year — Fieldnotes 2020, Redline 2021, Hill House 2020, Low Tide 2018 — and the strip scrolls like a reel of film.

Art direction

White background, black text, and warm-toned images — orange, ochre, sand — that become the real palette. PP Neue Montreal, at small size, leaves all the room to the visuals. The short, evocative project names work like film titles.

Motion

The opening transition gradually enlarges the strip until it fills the screen, like a forward tracking shot. Projects then scroll horizontally, and each image enlarges on hover. Visitors move through the architect's work the way you move through a building.

The journey

A single page going from the introduction to the full project strip, organised by year. Visitors can stop on any project to see it large, then resume scrolling where they left off.

What this concept brings to a real brand

For an architect, designer or photographer with many projects, this concept shows how to present a large body of work without overload: a timeline, short titles and smooth navigation make it all readable and pleasant to browse.

Concept: the brand and its brief were imagined by KOYOTEC to explore a creative direction. This is not a client project.
