A game studio is judged by the atmosphere of its worlds. For Ghoula Games, we imagined a website that makes you feel the tension of its games before showing a single screenshot.
The imagined brief
Ghoula Games is a collective making atmospheric games: concrete corridors, surveillance, mechanics that never reveal their full logic. The studio is looking for players, publishers and talent. The site had to set up a strong, consistent universe and make you feel you were entering one of their games.
The idea
The home screen is almost entirely black. In the centre, a logo like an insignia sits on a blurred green dome, as if seen through a security camera. On each side, two lines: "Worlds without exit" and "Games without mercy". Visitors are greeted like players launching a game.
Art direction
The palette is reduced to blacks, green-greys and an acid green that recalls control screens. Cossette Titre, a sharp display face, signs the logo and large headings; Verilet and a monospace, SUSE Mono, make the copy look like logs and intercepted messages. Everything is designed as a game identity, not a corporate site.
Motion
Elements appear through glitches and sweeps, text types out like a terminal, and the menu opens like a game interface. Effects serve the mood: they build tension without getting in the way of reading the manifesto or browsing the catalogue.
The journey
Index for the universe, Studio for the manifesto and team, Catalog for the games, Brief for current projects and collaborations, Connect to join the community or contact the studio. Game vocabulary — signal, channel, transmission — replaces that of a standard website.
What this concept brings to a real brand
For an entertainment, music or tech brand, this concept shows that a strong identity can guide every detail of a site: colours, type, vocabulary and motion. The result is a site you recognise in a second, and that makes you want to discover the products.
Concept: the brand and its brief were imagined by KOYOTEC to explore a creative direction. This is not a client project.
