A photo collective lives through its images and exhibitions. For Ombre & Lumière, we imagined a site that works as a living archive, and as an invitation to the next opening.
The imagined brief
Ombre & Lumière is a photographers' collective founded in Tunis. It builds an archive of portraits, places and small everyday moments, and organises exhibitions. The site had to present this collective work, announce events and open the door to commissions.
The idea
The exhibition title, "Long Exposure", scrolls continuously across the full width of the screen, very large, like a festival banner. In the centre, a single photograph — a portrait on an orange background — interrupts the text. Below, a sentence and a date: the exhibition opens on 14 November.
Art direction
The site stays black and white so the photographs set the colour. Google Sans Flex, a variable typeface, moves from a massive, tight headline to tiny labels. The cropped, compact "O&LUMIÈRE" logo plays on the name like a poster signature.
Motion
The "Long Exposure" banner glides endlessly, like a long exposure stretching time. Archive images follow one another in fades and react slightly to the cursor. The whole site fits on one page, designed as a continuous flow.
The journey
A single page with two entry points at the top: "Archive" to browse the series, and "Commission" for shoot requests. The footer recalls the collective's founding year and its city, Tunis.
What this concept brings to a real brand
For a photographer, artist or cultural venue, this concept shows how a very simple site can carry an event and an identity. One well-paced page, a strong title and chosen images: quick to set up and easy to update for each exhibition.
Concept: the brand and its brief were imagined by KOYOTEC to explore a creative direction. This is not a client project.
